Detecting and Decoding Distress in People Living with Dementia

Tailored to the unique needs of direct care and clinical staff, this interactive, educational training program will teach specific skills in ‘decoding’ distressing reactions and behaviors. Participants will learn best practices from research-based caregiver programs to address the changing abilities of those living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, build strong emotional connections and create environments that promote safety and joy. Includes 8-10 hours of training over 3 sessions.

About Nominations
100 Women of Impact is a curated national movement with a limited number of seats. Nominations are welcomed and encouraged; however, submission of a nomination does not guarantee acceptance into the movement.

All nominations are reviewed thoughtfully through a vetting process that considers alignment with the mission, values, and leadership posture of 100 Women of Impact, as well as current capacity. Because this is an intentionally curated movement, not all nominees will be invited to join. We are grateful for every nomination and for the care taken in putting names forward.
