Laura Rubin

Journaling Expert, Author,

Founder of AllSwell & Creative Coach

Laura is the Founder of AllSwell, a company dedicated to fostering analog expressions of creativity as a means of supporting mental wellbeing. As a corporate refugee (Ernst & Young, USA Networks, Inc.) and successful entrepreneur (leading her own marketing consultancy for a decade and a half), Rubin is equally comfortable navigating boardrooms and working with groups of creatives. A published journalist and editor, she recognized the power that the writing process provides when applied to the self. Rubin initially launched AllSwell with a series of blank write-draw notebooks as an antidote to digital overload. From media companies to high-visibility consumer brands, Rubin now leads workshops and provides coaching to help organizations and individuals become healthier, happier, and more visionary.

Lauded by Angeleno Magazine, on their “Power List” (2024), Rubin is the author The Big Unlock: Liberate your Creativity through Mindful Journaling on the AllSwell approach to journaling and creativity, by Simon & Schuster.

About AllSwell:

AllSwell’s mission is big — to help people wake up to their own voice, personal path and radical self-worth through creativity. Communications pro Laura Rubin launched AllSwell seven years ago with the purpose of educating people about the wide-ranging, meaningful benefits of journaling. Born from a morning surf check with uninspiring results, Laura sat on the beach and journaled instead. She wrote “Swell or no swell, all’s well” and an idea for a brand was born. She recognized journaling had a bit of a “PR problem” and wanted to invite more people to reap the mental and emotional benefits of putting pen to paper. With a dedication to quality design and environmental sensitivity, Laura introduced the brand with a suite of products to encourage analog expression and grew it to include original live workshops, digital experiences and 1:1 creative coaching.

Choose a notebook and put the words on the page or draw your vision in images. Need help jump-starting your creativity? Attend one of our workshops or book a 1:1 creative coaching session.

About Nominations
100 Women of Impact is a curated national movement with a limited number of seats. Nominations are welcomed and encouraged; however, submission of a nomination does not guarantee acceptance into the movement.

All nominations are reviewed thoughtfully through a vetting process that considers alignment with the mission, values, and leadership posture of 100 Women of Impact, as well as current capacity. Because this is an intentionally curated movement, not all nominees will be invited to join. We are grateful for every nomination and for the care taken in putting names forward.
