Julia Loda is a senior living leader and advocate who has worked alongside older adults and their families since 2021. Originally pursuing a career in teaching, Julia earned her degree in Information Technology and Education with the intention of becoming an educator. Her career took an unexpected turn when she entered the senior living field and discovered how deeply rewarding it was to educate, guide, and support older adults and their families through some of life’s biggest transitions. What began as a pivot quickly became a purpose.
Julia’s connection to this work became even more personal after the passing of her grandfather, as her grandmother began navigating a new chapter of life that eventually included a transition into senior living and a journey with dementia. Walking alongside her grandmother—and helping her own family navigate decisions and challenges they never anticipated—gave Julia a firsthand understanding of how overwhelming aging and cognitive change can feel when families don’t know what questions to ask, what resources are available, or what may come next.
Today, Julia brings her background as an educator into everything she does. She leads by listening first—taking the time to truly hear the concerns, priorities, fears, and hopes of the residents, families, and colleagues around her. She is passionate about turning what she has learned, both personally and professionally, into practical education, resources, tips, and guidance that help families feel more informed, prepared, and supported.
Through her work, Julia has developed a particular passion for brain health, purposeful aging, and the powerful role that connection, engagement, continued learning, routine, and community can play throughout the aging journey. At the heart of her work is a desire to make an uncertain stage of life feel a little less uncertain—helping older adults and their families find knowledge, confidence, positivity, and even joy in the chapters ahead.
