Heather began her career in 1998 as a community health physician with Massachusetts General Hospital.  During this time, she served as an instructor of medicine at Harvard Medical School and supervised internal medicine residents in their primary care rotations.  She moved to Connecticut in 2002 to raise her two sons.   During that time, Heather worked as a Hospitalist at Danbury Hospital.  Deeply interested in humanism and the art of medicine, Heather became board certified in Hospice and Palliative medicine in 2012.  She transitioned her practice fully into this specialty and served as the Clinical Leader of Palliative Care at Norwalk Hospital between 2016 and 2018.

With the growing complexity of disease and needs of our aging population, paired against the shortage in meeting these needs in the outpatient setting, Heather established her own Palliative Medicine practice in 2018.  Here she sees patients both in her office as well as in their homes.

Heather has also participated in a variety of educational activities to teach clinicians as well as the community on the value of Palliative care, and she serves on the board of Fairfield County House, a free-standing residence for people receiving palliative care or hospice in Connecticut.

In her free time, she enjoys all activities that bring her outdoors and playtime with her 7 rescues (6 cats and 1 dog).
