Donna B. Fedus, M.A. Gerontologist & Founder Borrow My Glasses, LLC
Donna Fedus is a gerontologist, dementia educator, and founder of Borrow My Glasses (BMG), LLC, an education and evaluation company dedicated to reshaping perspectives on aging, caregiving, and dementia, without the tragedy narrative. With more than 35 years of experience in gerontology and nearly 20 years as a dementia educator and caregiver coach, Donna is recognized nationally for preparing individuals, organizations, and communities to embrace the opportunities and realities of longevity.
Through BMG, Donna develops innovative educational programs, training initiatives, and evaluation strategies delivered nationwide. Her work enables organizations to better serve their customers, referral sources, and workforce; strengthen caregiver capacity and support; and create scalable solutions that benefit end users while advancing organizational goals.
A sought-after speaker, Donna presents keynotes and workshops at local, state, and national conferences on dozens of topics related to aging, caregiving, and dementia. As an adjunct professor at Quinnipiac University, she created and taught courses in Dementia Fundamentals, Social Issues in Family Caregiving, and Sociology of Aging. She continues to serve on Quinnipiac’s Committee for Age Inclusivity as well as several other nonprofit boards and advisory groups.
Donna has also served as Principal Investigator on multiple research initiatives. These include a National Institute on Aging-funded WOOP for Dementia Caregivers study conducted in collaboration with Yale University and other experts, which demonstrated the feasibility of delivering an evidence-based caregiver support strategy via technology. She also led several Disrupt Aging studies in partnership with AARP that transformed attitudes toward aging among college students and community members. Additionally, her Gerontology Relevance Study found that students recognized the personal and professional value of gerontology education after completing a brief educational module.
