Lisa Cohen

Lisa Cohen is a retired attorney and Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has spent her professional life advocating for and supporting others. Although retired from active practice, she maintains active licenses in both professions and continues to apply her skills through ongoing community engagement, lifelong learning, and, more recently, support for democratic principles and elected officials.
Her connection to CaringKind is deeply personal. She is a care partner to her husband, who is living with Alzheimer’s disease, as well as blindness, macular degeneration, and heart disease. Throughout this journey, the staff, programs, and resources at CaringKind have been a lifeline, not only for her, but for many others navigating similar challenges. She first connected with CaringKind as a participant in one of its caregiver support groups, a relationship that has continued over time.
The compassion, expertise, and sense of community that CaringKind has provided have been invaluable during an exceptionally challenging period in her life. She is a strong believer in the importance of comprehensive, sustained support for those caring for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, and she is deeply grateful for CaringKind’s mission and the profound impact the organization continues to have on caregivers and those they support.

About Nominations
100 Women of Impact is a curated national movement with a limited number of seats. Nominations are welcomed and encouraged; however, submission of a nomination does not guarantee acceptance into the movement.

All nominations are reviewed thoughtfully through a vetting process that considers alignment with the mission, values, and leadership posture of 100 Women of Impact, as well as current capacity. Because this is an intentionally curated movement, not all nominees will be invited to join. We are grateful for every nomination and for the care taken in putting names forward.
